Provider Pricing Contract
In some states, TreatCost.com is allowed to negotiate the price shown on our website with the provider on behalf of patients and TreatCost.com is compensated by the patient via a one-time or recurring discount network membership fee. No payment can be made from the provider to TreatCost.com when a patient receives services.
Legal
Due to state and federal laws, it is often illegal for TreatCost to receive payments from providers when we refer a patient. Consequently, we rely upon pay-per-click advertising which isn't tied to patients receiving care; nor tied to booking an appointment. This means TreatCost.com often can't receive a payment when a patient books an appointment through our service at the price point offered on our website.
In some states we are allowed to charge a technology fee if a patient books through our site for the booking process, but it can't be tied to patients receiving care.
A BAA is required to administer the contract if the provider is a covered entity.
